He pedido en el chat OSM Latinoamericana; un usuario allá he reenviado el mensaje a Telegram de MappingEcuador. Asked in the OSM Latin America Telegram chat; a user there forwarded the message to MappingEcuador Telegram. |
A general strike in Ecuador (archive) has been going on for the last couple of weeks, so I imagine most Ecuadorians are quite busy at the moment and this issue may be on hold until the political situation is better. |
I have just come across this issue. There are 2 types of shields that are standardized for the national road network of Ecuador. One is blue for the arterial roads and the other is green for the collector roads. The nomenclature always starts with a capital "E". From west to east and in a north-south direction begin with E5, E15, E25, E35 and E45. From north to south and in east-west direction E10, E20, E30, E40 and E50. All others are variations of these 10. The standard of the shield can be found in this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f2Adspg5LoIhqOkXEEXdqJIw-mhaZcHw/view. See from page 101 to 103 |
Hi @fmvaldezg! Glad to have more help with route shields. As it is right now, |
network=EC:national
ynetwork=EC:provincial
, respectivamente. Los números rutales tienen el prefijo “E”, entonces los números pueden ser más largos que aún el número interestatal más largo.Ecuador marks its roads with two shields that look strikingly similar to the Interstate Highway shield in the U.S. Primary or arterial highways get a blue shield, while secondary or collector highways get a green shield. In OSM, these routes are tagged
network=EC:national
andnetwork=EC:provincial
, respectively. Route numbers in the shield are prefixed with “E”, so the numbers can get longer than even the longest Interstate route number.The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
