This is ScraperFC, a Python package that I hope will give more people access to soccer stats. It's still very much a work in progress and I'm currently a full-time grad student so progress may be slow. I am trying to chip away at it though, so please, reach out with any problems you encounter or features you want to see added!

Installation

$ pip install ScraperFC

Usage

There is a Jupyter Notebook the home directory of the repository that includes examples for scraping with the FBRef, Understat, and FiveThirtyEight modules. For complete documentation, see the other pages in this wiki.

  • Ability to scrape player data from FBRef and Understat

TO-DO List

  • Ability to scrape Situation, Formation, Game state, Timing, Shot zones, Attack speed, and Result stats for teams from Understat
