Additionally as of version 4.0.1, [, ] and = are no longer allowed in snapshot names and scenario names. You will need to perform a mechanical refactor to remove them from bothe your *.snap files and test source code files.
Most should be able to upgrade with no issues. Those that have introduced their own Serializers and Comparators will have more trouble because the interfaces have changed in order to make them simpler.
