If we're looking for somewhere where there is a clear case for setting up a dedicated "Organisation" to serve as a portal for a small set of curated, themed projects then this is definitely a good candidate!
My questions then become who is affected by this and should be consulted:
Data Stewards, because they own the guidelines about model publication and are in tune with NERC policy
DevOps / Support folks, because they may have guidelines about managing privileges and offering a contact point for an "official" UKCEH branded repository collection
Researchers who develop and maintain models, whose code is already available through Github, and may not see the work as necessary
Comms may have an interest in this level of detail?
