I found this suggestion, which is similar to what I'd like to see, here

When you preview a route, the app gives you time, distance, a small altitude graph, some altitude data and that's it.

I think this is more than enough in most situations.

I would like to suggest a secondary screen, accessible (and only loaded) by swiping up from the preview, that gives some more insights into the route, so like the other suggestion it would be the type and smoothness of the surface, maybe a list of directions or points of interest along the route that could be useful for orientation, or even the type of access to different ways.
