I just switched from Ambibox, and Hyperion looks very nice in comparison. But one thing that structs me as odd, is cpu and gpu usage when showing just a static color is the same as I would use screencapture. I discovered I have to go to web panel to turn off screen capture, and only then hardware usage drops almost to zero.
It would be nice if the screen capture was turned off automatically when using any effect that "overwrites it". And if that wold mess with app logic, the easiest solution would be to add new button when RMB on tray icon. We already have "Clear" button to turn off effects, lets make similar button to turn on/off screen capture.
My use case is that for the last couple of years (Adalight with Ambibox) I've been switching between screen capture and solid color daily and repeatedly, depending on what I'm doing. Opening web panel each time would not be the end of the world, but if it can be helped, then please. I'm just a gameplay programmer, not a software dev, I'm not doing it myself :p
