Unable to access oppia website @oppia.org

I have been trying to access the oppia website as I complained yesterday, but it's not working, it worked yesterday but during the morning hour and evening hour, the website couldn't be accessed, I was able to access it yesterday in the afternoon after my complaint here, but during the evening hour, was not able to access it again.

My second question, I have been trying to create my skill table, but I am having a challenge understanding how to do it. I have created the table with the sample idea on the website, but I don't understand how to fill in the remediation, question recap, and development. Please can anyone help me?

For the second question, you have to write the common mistakes taken by students on the topic you choose.
For example if you are talking about the sun
The students might think the sun is not a planet. (This is the specific error)
The remediation will be the sun is one of the largest planet. And you will explain it well.
In the development topic you will write about the concepts which is about the specific skill you wrote on the first column. And you will also develop some questions for the [test].
For additional recap is questions that might be used to recap the concepts. As the name said it is additional you will write some questions under development of the topic too

Hi @Shulamite54 I'm not sure why this keeps happening to you, . But my best guess is your internet connection. Try to take note if other websites are loading or if it's giving you the same error message. If it's the error message, then it's your internet connection. Try to access it from a place where you have a strong internet connection. Or better still you can switch your internet connection to another which has a better internet connection where you are located.

For your second question, the remediation is how the lesson would help learners address the misconceptions. Then, the development of the Topic is like a roadmap for your script, where you decide how to explain different skills and the questions that go along with them. Recap questions are like a special set of questions children would use to remember and test what they've learned.

For example

If the Lesson is "Income and expenses"

The misconception would be that; some learners might think that all the money they receive is the same and can be spent freely.

Remediation would be:

1. Explain the difference between income and expenses.
2. Provide examples to clarify the concept.
3. Use visuals like charts or drawings to illustrate.

Development of the Topic and Recap questions would be this way:

Understanding Income:
[Concept] Explain what income is and give examples (allowance, gifts).
[Recap] "What is income?"

Recognizing Expenses:
[Concept] Introduce the concept of expenses and provide examples (toys, snacks).
[Test] "Can you name something that is an expense?"

Differentiating Between Income and Expenses:
[Concept] Clearly distinguish between income and expenses using real-life scenarios.
[Recap] "What's the difference between income and expenses?"

If you noticed, the development of the topic and recap questions worked hand in hand? You can see for every development of topic I asked a question to reinforce the concept the child learned, to check understanding, and also as a quick review.

Great one @Amarachhhiii. However, I think the [recap] questions don't come in at the first skill/lesson. it comes in the second, third, ... lessons. Recap is a way of testing student's knowledge of the previous lesson in your skill table.

@Shulamite54 Based on the image you sent, the reason you can't access the oppia website, is because of your internet connection, change to another internet service provider or use a WiFi if you have one. I get this same response too when my internet connection is not stable.

As regarding your second question, it would have been better if you had created a separate Q &A for it, so others with the same question in mind can also see the answer

@Shulamite54 I just took a closer look at the image you added. And I'm very certain why this keeps happening to is because of your internet connection. I can see your mobile network is currently on 3G. This happens when the internet connection is poor, which means you have to do all that we've been saying. Also, this happens if your mobile network is set to 3G. How to resolve this is to check your settings to see if your phone has the 4G mobile network available, if it does, change it to the 4G mobile network. If it doesn't have a 4G mobile network available then your phone is the reason you keep experiencing this.

To answer your second question, your internet is probably the issue.

@Shulamite54 I encountered the same issue, some of the things I tried are - clearing cookies, changing my network, trying other people's devices too, I kept on trying and when it opened on my phone, I left the tab open, so I still have access to the website
