Please add support for rendering place = city|town|village|hamlet|suburb.
The problem is that many people want to see on map the boundaries of settlements ... Therefore, they represent them as a place=* + boundary=* + admin_level=*. But not always the border of settlements can be considered "administrative". Many of the settlements, at least in Russia (and I think in other countries too), are not independent administrative units. (see http://tinyurl.com/y7rr2c3)
In addition use 3 tags that you can designate one not a good idea.
Thus, I propose to add rendering for areas with place tag and there is no boundary tag:
city, town: #888888 Alpha=50%; 2-3 dashed line; width = 2; starting at z13[[BR]]
village, hamlet, suburb: #888888 Alpha=50%; 2-3 dashed line; width = 1; starting at z15
You can use any other designation, if you find it not very suitable. But I think that we in any case is to show the boundary of place=* tag.
Thanks!

Also this will help avoid a situation where mappers doing pretty strange things, like setting landuse = residential on the entire territory of the settlement. For example, there http://osm.org/go/1i6A9NM-
