I would like to be able to use Observability catalog which includes the Traces, Metrics & Logs signals as they are defined by the OpenTelemetry protocol.
As an Observability user, I'd like to be able to load the catalog into my index / mapping / data-stream namespaces and start ingesting data in the OTEL format.
What solution would you like?
Having a catalog repository & API which allows me to load the domain schema from and query the catalog repository for information on my schema support .
Having a loading mechanism that would allow me to easily bootstrap my environment to start ingesting the OpenTelemetry signals using existing Observability collectors
Allow me the knowledge of relationships between my catalog entities for the purpose of Correlation between data type to identify issues in my applications
