What do you want to do?

  • Request a change to existing documentation
  • Add new documentation

The breaking changes documentation for 2.0 is incomplete.

A Lucene upgrade forced OpenSearch to drop support for JDK8 and as a consequence forced the same on opensearch-java client. Restoring support for JDK8 is opensearch-java#156 and will require removing OpenSearch core as a dependency from the Java client (opensearch-java#262). Users of high level REST client from OpenSearch are surprised by this change, we should add it.
