Vulnerability Details

In jQuery versions greater than or equal to 1.0.3 and before 3.5.0, passing HTML containing elements from untrusted sources - even after sanitizing it - to one of jQuery's DOM manipulation methods (i.e. .html(), .append(), and others) may execute untrusted code. This problem is patched in jQuery 3.5.0.

This is not a particularly valid vulnerability - the old jquery version is in a unit test which is included in an npm module. We could consider updating #4896 to allow deleting this type of file that shouldn't be included in a library module, but it seems likely we'll just play whack-a-mole by trying to do so.

The dependency on https://www.npmjs.com/package/javascript-natural-sort was introduced as part of the dependency on mathjs (#4492).
