We've been trying to keep on a schedule with these and it's hard! I wanted to suggest/request a few things:

  • Broader announcement of winners when elections are complete, possibly through social / and email
  • Opening up CPC elections beyond just voting members, is there a reason why this is limited? Could we ask that folks that participate often be involved in elections?
  • Batching the elections yearly, this year we did this and there was less overhead. Can we do this moving forward?

Adding the CPC tag so we can discuss next meeting.

As someone who participates but has not held an elected position I am not sure generally opening it is what I would want to see. I think rather I would want to see a very lightweight process for folks like me to apply. And especially I would like to see member projects and maybe member companies be able to nominate someone to be "their vote".

Next steps here are to add updated language to unite the elections. Ben has been great about sending out notifications.

This feels like part of #1148 now. Should we mark it as such and remove it's CPC-agenda label?
