No module named openalpr_api #7
Comments
Hi, Are you making the necesary imports?... import openalpr_api |
have you ever figured this out? I'm trying to use python to test the Cloud API and I'm getting the same error. @ajhawkins |
It seems the .git file refers to the whole project, so I think the best way to install it is using setuptools.
If you are inside a virtualenv, you can remove the --user from the last command. Try it out and see if it works for you. |
@jaimecosme thank you!! it worked. does this mean the openalpr_api module is now installed on my whole system? Or just in a certain place? |
@kajili If you don't use the --user flag and you are not using virtualenv, it should be installed for every user on the system (you may need to use sudo). Anyway, nowadays it is recommended to use a different virtualenv for each project instead of installing libraries system-wide. This will avoid future conflicts between libraries. |
