Split MRI and structuralMRI #128
Comments
@spieschnik could you take this over? |
Do we have ontology definitions for the techniques MRI, fMRI and sMRI @tgbugs? Otherwise I suggest the following definitions: functional magnetic resonance imaging: : "A magnetic resonance imaging technique that generates multiple images over time of some physiological processes of a specimen." structural magnetic resonance imaging: : "A magnetic resonance imaging technique that generates static images of some aspect of the structural anatomy of a specimen." |
quantitative magnetic resonance imaging: "Any magnetic resonance imaging technique that generates images of a specimen based on the physical parameters of the local tissue microstructural environment." exists already without definition and synonyms |
note: we need to do the split as well for the other techniques? |
We should add a specific term for structural MRI and keep MRI as the superclass for this term (and all others such as fMRI).
We have MRI registered like this:
https://github.com/openMetadataInitiative/openMINDS_instances/blob/main/instances/latest/terminologies/technique/magneticResonanceImaging.jsonld
We should update this one to represent the superclass, and add a new instances for structural MRI.
