using repo syntax in requirements.txt

Hi,

I'm running into a problem that I believe has to do with the batch exporter running in uwsgi. I noticed a commit msg since the last release that suggests the issue may now be corrected and I'd like to try it, but it's not obvious how I should refer to the package in the requirements.txt file (via a line that looks like: git+https://github.com/path/to/package-two@41b95ec#egg=package-two).

Has anyone done this?

You can clone the repo, create a virtual environment, activate it, then checkout the specific commit and install in your virtual environment with pip -e:

0. git clone [email protected]:open-telemetry/opentelemetry-python.git
1. mkdir virtualenv
2. virtualenv virtualenv
3. source virtualenv/bin/activate
4. cd opentelemetry-python
5. git checkout ef9847f5effb81368ce4030002ca42cb27504be5
6. pip install -e opentelemetry-api

You can check that the opentelemetry-api was installed pointing to the ef9847f5effb81368ce4030002ca42cb27504be5 commit with pip freeze:

Deprecated==1.2.13
-e git+ssh://[email protected]/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-python.git@ef9847f5effb81368ce4030002ca42cb27504be5#egg=opentelemetry_api&subdirectory=opentelemetry-api

There was a new release yesterday so they probably don't need editable install anymore.
