"The Open Org Mentor" – Our audience already seems motivated to lead change, looking to find resources to aid them in efforts they've already decided to undertake.

  • "Curious advocates and leaders" already understand that they have a job to do and feel inspired to do it
  • "Collaborative practical approaches and tactics" is need that's different from, say "finding inspiration to make a change"

The site also has an engagement job that it needs to do. Inspiration. Promotional purpose, people who are not engaged) we might be able to reuse. Let's follow the 5 Ws and try to focus the content new landing page of our site.

My ideas for content framing in sections on the homepage:
WHO | Welcome to the Open Org
YOU, the curious advocates and leaders, we're like you. When we've needed help, we've asked others like us and through that experience we've gained some wisdom we'd like to share with YOU. (focuses both audience AND the ambassadors)
WHAT | Resources
"Collaborative practical approaches and tactics" all easily accessible right here on our site and in our community. (connect to when with here's our most recent stuff), [articles books videos]
WHEN | Recent appearances??
Our community is on all the time. Here's how we interact. Here's what the community is doing right about now.
WHY | Why we do it
the philosophical. Because open makes the world better (definitions)
WHERE | Community events

A great set of notes and a great start, @LauraHilliger. Thanks much. I think for my part I can begin poking around to find a solution to open-organization/open-organization.github.io#25. But please let me know if there's a way I can be more useful.
