404 Tree Not Found on TFS

Hi,
I installed 1.0.9 version on TFS2018.3 an created a verified connection to a on-prem GitLab Community Edition 11.0.0.
Trying to use in a release definition with Default version setting set to Latest from default branch throws the below error:

Failed to query service connection API: 'https://my-gitlab/api/v4/projects/46/repository/tree?path=&ref='. Status Code: 'NotFound', Response from server: '{"message":"404 Tree Not Found"}'
