Start, Stop live observation by keyboard shortcut or API

BORIS will be used for at least one of my customers, where they need to simultaneously start/stop a BORIS live recording and a video recording (OBS Studio).

It would be great if there was a (configurable) keyboard shortcut or API call to do the equivalent of clicking on the "Start Live Recording" and stop live recording button.

I currently have a work-around using Windows AutohotKey (AHK) to resize the BORIS window to a known size and location, and then simulating a mouse click on the start/stop button.

This keeps the relative latency between BORIS and OBS Studio less than 100 milliseconds, which is acceptable for the use case.
