As far as I can tell the SARIF standard does not provide any means for escaping the link syntax in a plain-text message. Escaping square brackets and backslashes is only specified within the link text. An example showing how content matching the link syntax can be expressed as literal text would be a useful addition to future versions/errata of the standard as well.
