For simpler and non-updating layers, it seems better to put them as react map gl layers so that they can be put under labels.

  • current wildfire: https://tiles.nst.guide/nifc/current.geojson
  • historical wildfires
  • ndfd_current. I have the gridpoint forecasts auto updating, but I need to create the GeoJSON grid to click to get the forecast. I have the GeoJSON grid, just need to figure out the tooltip.
  • historical weather. I have to clean all the data I collected.
  • wikipedia points
  • national forest lands
  • wilderness areas

Not top of priorities?:

  • transit
  • no camping areas
  • Other AQI categories. For now I just have PM2.5, but I should add ozone and combined, and have a little (i) circle icon link next to it to a description of what each mean. I do need to update the lambda code to update all of them.
