pygmsh looks like a dream come true for me and colleagues in earthquake science! At the same time, I'm new to gmsh and pygmsh so definitely am looking for some help getting started. The primary task that we commonly have is to mesh a non-planar surface (these are the faults that earthquakes occur on). For each of these surface we have well definite perimeters (in x, y, z) as well as some internal control points. What I'm hoping to then do is using this information. I've done the demos with polygons but I really haven't a good sense of how to get started creating a ribbon-like structure. I would certainly appreciate any guidance that this group might be able to share!
An example of a low resolution version of what I hope to build is shown in the attached figure. The red surface is all that matters and the grid can be ignored.
Thanks for considering this!
