Boolean Intersection Operation

Hi! I'm trying to generate a mesh for the spheres which are distributed in a cylinder. For this, I'm using boolean_intersection command. However, I cannot obtain the intersection sections (spheres) after this operation. Does the sequence of creating spheres and cylinder matter?

Here is the code I'm working on:
