You should probably ask on the ionic or cordova issue trackers first.

I am trying to install cordova on windows 10 , when i give this command "npm install -g cordova" it try to fetch meta data after that this screen appears

and when i try to confirm that cordova installation is complete or not by using this command it give me error like this

how can i get through this error please help

Guessing its #9542.

Just to confirm, @Ammad7: what node.js version is this? If its 7.1.0 can you please upgrade to 7.2.0 to confirm its fixed?

@Ammad7 please use node --version instead. Can you confirm that you're indeed using 6.x? Other users have reported that similar issues have been fixed with it.

by using this command this appears

@Ammad7 you need to upgrade to 7.2.0 or downgrade to 6.9.x to fix this.

Closing since this is a duplicate of #9542!
