Failed to load c++ bson extension, in node v0.12 it works, but in io.js don't works

mongodb/js-bson#110 -- looks like this should be out already. Are you using the latest mongoose? Perhaps mongoose hasn't been updated?

Closing on the tracker here, since it's not strictly an io.js issue.
