Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (CoffeeScript)

Create a Function that Returns the Sum of Two Numbers in CoffeeScript

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

How to get started

Navigate to the tasks/coffeescript/easy directory and open the add_numbers.coffee file.

Description

The goal of this issue is to create a simple function in CoffeeScript that takes two numbers as arguments and returns their sum. The function should be named addNumbers.

How to run

Make sure you are in the right directory:

cd tasks/coffeescript/easy

Compile the CoffeeScript file to JavaScript:

coffee -c add_numbers.coffee

Execute the JavaScript File:

node add_numbers.js

If your solution is correct, the command should output The sum of 3 and 4 is 7 in the console and you are ready to make a pull request!


To work with this issue, you need to have NPM, NodeJS and CoffeeScript installed.
