Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (LaTeX)

Typesetting Basic Mathematical Equations

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

Navigate to the tasks/latex/easy directory from the root of your project.
Then open the typesetting.tex file and start implementing your solution!

Description:

Create a simple LaTeX document that demonstrates how to typeset basic mathematical equations, including fractions, integrals, and matrices.

Within the document body (% TODO: Add your content here), include the following:

Fractions:

  • Typeset the equation ab+cd=ad+bcbdba+dc=bdad+bc.

Integrals:

  • Typeset the equation ∫abf(x) dx∫abf(x)dx, explaining what aa and bb represent.

Matrices:

  • Typeset a 2x2 matrix:
    [abcd]
    [acbd]

Explain what each entry represents.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • The PDF should have a title "Typesetting Mathematics in LaTeX" with your name and today's date.
  • The document should correctly display the mathematical equations for fractions, integrals, and matrices.
  • Accompanying explanations for symbols and notation should be concise and clear.

Compiling your Document:

Make sure you are in the right directory:

cd tasks/latex/easy

Compile the document:

pdflatex typesetting.tex

This will produce a PDF file which you can open to view the formatted document.
If the PDF file looks correct, you are ready to make a pull request!
