  • lang and lib tests run with host interpreter
  • lang and lib tests run with target interpreter
  • lang and lib tests run compiled with target
  • lang and lib tests run compiled with host

...while bugs in the host cannot practically be fixed after it starts being generated code, it is important to know about them to be able to work around them.
