Getting libcurl error while trying to install app

Steps to reproduce

Install new nextcloud server and try to download and activate some apps (contacts and calendar).

Actual behaviour

On top of the download button the following error message appears:
"cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate (see http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)"

Server configuration

Operating system: Raspbian stretch
