Why do search results open in browser and not the file manager?

Hi, is it expected behavior that files found by the client search are opened in web browser and not the filesystem? What's the point of that? Or, why isn't the user given an option to either open in filesystem or browser? I'm asking because sometimes, FOSS developers have implementation ideas that do not align with users' needs.
