because of how the [experimental] target was defined in #178, we are now running into this twine error pypa/twine#430

I don't know the way forward off hand.

So actually it's not a bug, per se, it's just that direct urls are forbidden in requirements on PyPI, my [experimental] target is actually not allowed on the packaging index.
