For FY23, we will focus on how to tell the user the cloud location, not subsetting.

Status update Nov 2022:

  • first prototype using an extra column in an SIA result
  • was presented to IVOA Oct. 2022
  • IVOA would prefer serving it instead as a DataLink
  • new prototype in development

Next steps:

  • experiment with new prototype
  • update IVOA in May Interop
  • depending on feedback, proceed with pyvo PR
