Is it possible to get stats from the site for the below; for the time period: 1 November 2020 - 31 October 2021

Our Performance
Complaints made to ICO (by us) and any upheld - data from inbox labels

Number of police/law enforcement requests for user data and outcomes - Context if they related to legitimate use of our service or were tangential to it - data from inbox Labels

Deadlines are:
The annual report is scheduled to go out on 16 December
Design is scheduled to be completed by 9 December
Ideally this means that copy should be ready by 2 December

Ref: Complaints made to ICO (by us) and any upheld - data from inbox labels

Would anyone know if there is a quick way to search for any complaints that have been upheld other than looking at all the email threads individually?

As no way has been suggested to quickly check which ICE threads were upheld - I'll have to check them manually. There are 84 threads in the inbox with the ICO label.

Police / Law Enforcement Request"
The inbox label has only been available since April 2021, this produced 2 threads.

Further search for the domain 'pollce.uk' produced 115
This however includes, emails cc’d to the police by the user, request for threads to be reopened and bodies database update requests. Will need to be manually sorted into specific requests from Police for action

To note: We have decided not to Include this data in the 2021 report for the reasons below.

However we have some good solid suggestions about what we can do to make sure we are able to get it for the next one. i will add these to the ticket created to improve data collection for next year (#938)

Reasons for not including

It was felt that we don't have enough confidence in the data we have available right now to be able to include this section in time for this year's publication deadline. I think it's all doable for next year's report though.

ICO Correspondence

Getting this information on the outcome would require reading through over 200 email threads to establish which cell to count a particular case in and determine the outcome. While it is possible, it's very much cost-prohibitive. It was also noted that the number of threads when dealing with the ICO is largely misleading, as their case management system seems to have an issue with threading.

Police Requests

The Police request label was only introduced in April 2021. And searching through other means, such as email domains, produces a substantial amount of messages here likely relate to BAU, e.g. issues with requests, reopening threads etc
