More detail can be found in this Google document.

This is to suggest Facebook and Twitter buttons for the sharing of content and actions.

Suggested placement

a) On request pages - NB there is already a 'tweet this' link but it could be made much more prominent with a coloured icon. We might consider removing the link to Pledgebank and putting a Facebook button in instead (or as well)
b) On request completion pages
c) On annotation completion pages
d) Status update or respond to council success page

Possible text

a) Request pages. Current text is: '[Title of request]' [URL] via @WhatDoTheyKnow.
b) On request completion pages: I have just requested that [body] provide information about [title] on #WhatDoTheyKnow - [short link].
c) On annotation completion pages: I just added an annotation to a Freedom of Information request on #WhatDoTheyKnow: [title] - [short link].
d) Status update or respond to council success page: I just updated my Freedom of Information request on #WhatDoTheyKnow: [title] - [short link].

(If these turn out to be too long with tan average title length we could think about using 'FOI' instead)

Additionally we should add tracking for outbound links so we can see how many people currently go to Twitter or Facebook directly from each placement.

As with the other core UK sites, it will be worth looking at WDTK via the Facebook mobile interface to see that it still functions as expected.
