Local audio stream proxy for old DLNA devices

Hi all,

I have Philips AW9000 network speakers. They seem only to play the audio streams from local network.
Is Music Assistant capable to support a local audio proxy ?

Music Assistant does not download any content. If your content is not available locally then it will be streamed from the net

But proxy is not downloading just passing the stream through ...

Actually I think it may work as MA streams to the players via its own IP and port.

Configure what? I was too hasty in my reply before, MA sends everything to the players via its own IP and port.

Strange, Philips AW9000 does not work, play command fails. I will do more investigations

I assume you are using a HA integration for it?

I have tested both HASS integration and local web server, the behavior is the same when I try to play any online radio: UPnP error, see the log below. Noe that I'm not running the container but directly on RPI. Maybe there kind of debug script or more logging or something to detect where all command chain breaks ?

Are running the dev version of the server? If so you are advised to change to stable or beta.

I use stable version, git branch output below:

I have also compiled ffmpeg 7.1 and forced mass to use it, but it did not help

I have found out in the sources:
pyproject.toml:# The version is set by GH action on release
pyproject.toml:version = "0.0.0"

so version = 0.0.0 is ok

Local TTS plays fine with ffmpeg 7.1, so it looks like that my Philips AW9000 speakers only accept DLNA streams from local network.
Therefore I've asked if MASS can act as proxy for Internal audio stream, or maybe it's possible to dynamically configure Apache2 proxy every time a new Internet audio stream is playing ?

I have captured 2 detailed logs, one good when tts was playing, and one bad for an online radio stream. I see that radio stream is indeed hosted locally. Maybe the speaker does not accept flac format? I see that tts case uses ffmpeg for re-encoding. Is it possible to force the reencoding for inernet radio ?

I have found it !!! there is option to enforce mp3, then I set it, the radio started to work !
