How to use Mumble as only broadcast audio channel (commentary for sports)

Hi all,
I am new to Mumble as I am looking for a solution to broadcast an audio feed of our commentators during LIVE sports (pool billiards) matches. The way I would like to implement is that spectators who are in the same room as the sports event, can tune in into our Mumble server channel using their smartphones and headphones, and listen to the commentators, so we don't disturb the players who have to concentrate on their pool matches.

Can somebody help me to direct me in the right way?
I have created a Mumble server and I am able to log in. But if I would broadcast the audio, other people who join in, can also start to talk, which is not what I am looking for :-)

This should be solvable by a combination of linking channels and revoking the "Speak" ACL for non-commentators in the channel the commentators are in.

So basically something like this:

Root
🔗 Commentator Channel (Allow Enter, Speak etc. for group "commentators" and disallow for non-commentators)
🔗 Spectator Channel (Allow Enter for everyone. Allow Speak for everyone or "commentators" as you see fit)

That sounds like what I can use indeed. How do I set this up? I will probably only need your first suggestion for the Root.

• Log in as SuperUser. You have to set the SuperUser password using a command line parameter for mumble-server
• Edit Root Groups and create a new group for your commentators
• Edit Root ACL and set the "default permissions" for @all however you like
• Create a Commentator channel
• Edit the Commentator ACL and add an entry for @all to deny Enter and Speak
• Now add a second entry for the Commentator ACL (if it is further down it will overwrite the ones above) and allow Enter and Speak for the Commentator group
• Create a second Spectator channel
• While being in the Spectator channel open a context menu with the Commentator channel and click Link
• Add other ACLs for all channels as you see fit
