New Wyze Floodlight Pro! #822
Comments
Thank you! I'll try to take a closer look through the app, but it seems like it's not using the tutk SDK which is why you are getting the |
Having the same error/log with the latest firmware. Do you think this is a deadend or is there hope for a resolution? (considering returning the camera) |
Unfortunately, it seems like the floodlight is using a different platform/sdk so we won't be able to support it like the other cameras. However, it seems like wyze is slowly opening up their API, so we may be able to do something with that in the future. |
Tried it tonight on docker v.2.3.14 and firmware v.2.0.944 and I am unable to add the Floodlight Pro to HA Generic Camera. Hopefully they continue to open up their API so we can add this to list of compatible cameras soon! Thanks for all the hard work on this project :) |
I have a new Battery Cam Pro that has similar symptoms. Presumably it is also not supported but is there anything specific I can check to confirm? |
The floodlight is using a different platform, so we can't connect using the Tutk protocol like the the other cameras, but I am working on an alternate method that should hopefully work with more of their cameras. |
Any easy way to know if the Battery Cam Pro has the same issue though? I'm trying to decide if I should just return it or not. |
AN_RSCW (Battery Cam Pro) probably won't be supported even with the new connection method. |
Awesome info. Thanks for confirming. I guess I'll be returning it and trying to find one that works. |
Hi @drewmoseley. Just following up on your previous comment. Have you been able to make any progress? Not trying to sound ungrateful for your hard work, just curious. If there is any testing I can do to help, please let me know as I do have the floodlight pro installed on my house. |
@djkiddmf you got the wrong guy. I was simply asking questions here. @mrlt8 deserves all the credit here. |
@mrlt8 Any progress on new way? Willing to be a tester. I work in IT. |
Could the new Wyze web portal be used to help us get access to live footage for HA dashboard? |
I just installed one of these. I incorrectly saw the V3 Pro on the compatibility list and took that to mean the new Floodlight Pro. This is a nice device. Would love it to work in HA. Returning the device is not an option. |
any assistance needed with this on the API support, i'm happy to lend a hand. Just acquired a floodlight cam v2 and would like to work through enablement on homekit - thanks! |
Hi - Any hope for this? Thinking will be same as the V4 that is about to launch.... won't work here, yet???? |
I would also be glad to help on getting this going/tested/etc. I have three installed, so I can do control tests as well. |
I am hoping this is still something on the roadmap to do. I am using TinyCam Pro Server to get the feed into Blue Iris but the quality is low compared to my V3s through Wyze Bridge. |
After the recent Wyze app update on my Android phone I went to see if there was any changes to the Wyze bridge working with the FLP but no change , I was hoping Wyze made some changes as in the new app the V3 and FLP UI seam more alike than in the previous app. |
I have the Floodlight Pro Firmware Version 2.2.1.1160 and it does not see to be adding the device. |
I really wish I had not bought the FLP and instead got one that worked with docker bridge. I haven't had time to figure out way but TinyCam Pro has failed today and not able to send the stream to Blue Iris now. I'll have to search for other ways now TinyCam was not great quality feed anyway. |
just FYI!
Testing on version v2.2.0
Just got mine today when opening/refreshing the dashboard it does show a static image with i think the last event snapshot
API Thumbnail does work ONCE (shows current timestamp) - eventually refresh on dashboard but can't seem to pull it again -by url or hitting api snapshot in dashboard view
same behavior with RTSP snapshot

RTMP/RTSP doesn't work via VLC:

[WyzeBridge] Front Door Flood will cooldown for 10s.
