Can't play music.youtube.com in the background

I was able to isolate this extension as the culprit of an issue with playing music.youtube.com in the background. I never had an issue but either an update with music.youtube.com website or Firefox started causing music.youtube.com to no longer play music if it wasn't the active tab.

There's no issue if I hard refresh the music.youtube.com website. But after I close Firefox and reopen Firefox, I see the issue occurring.

This does not happen when the extension is disabled.
