[Bug] Status bar icons not visible in Twitter PWA #12488
Comments
@sheikh-azharuddin seems to be a problem when the system theme is set to dark. Switching the system theme to light seems to solve this. Is there a way for Fenix to change the status bar to a dark color when dark mode is on? |
Nope.. But i found the problem... When system dark mode is on and fenix theme set to dark or follow system theme, then only the status bar is white with white icons... However if you change the fenix theme to light it is fixed... Seems developer need to fix the issue.. In dark mode the status bar should be dark with white icons |
Hi @anotherus3r , I've managed to reproduce this issue on the latest Perhaps @NotWoods could review and share his thoughts. |

Doesn't fixed for me, also able to reproduce on instagram PWA. |

This isn't fixed and is easy to reproduce on all recent Samsung devices — install a PWA, like Twitter, and then switch to Dark Mode, this is a full screen screenshot, notice the white status bar at the top ... The issue isn't specific to Twitter, here's Instagram, notice the white status bar at the top ... This is on Android 11, on the latest Fenix Beta & Nightly, tested on Galaxy Tab S7 and a Galaxy S21 phone, but I could see this on Android 10. I don't think it's Android's fault. Firefox does really poorly in the PWA SSB support, both on the desktop and on Android, and it's what's driving me to want to use Chromium-based browsers. I know you're probably busy with many other more important issues, I'm only mentioning this because I'm seeing the @Stale bot wanting to close this issue due to a lack of activity — which makes no sense, as what's keeping people like me quiet is the existence of this issue, and the hope that somebody will eventually fix it 🙂 |
