i'd also be concerned about long component names, and their impact on the ability to quickly scan the status summary.

Simplest thing to do here is prototype, screenshot and see how it affects the display.

Remember this is a node module that can be used in other places, so it would make sense to put this behind a pref that gets sent to the readable() method, even if we don't use it on BMO.
