Multiple Launcher Shortcuts

I have used this decky plugin before. I installed EA App and Epic. Then I uninstalled the plugin. Before I uninstalled the plugin, I wiped previous installed launchers and games by using the Start Fresh button.

Now, I decided I wanna try it again since it’s on 1.0 now. I installed just the EA App. After installation I have two EA Launcher in my Non Steam Library. I clicked Start Fresh hoping for a clean slate. The installed EA App again, now I have three EA Launchers. I just went ahead and manually removed the other two.

I would probably end up with four EA Launchers if I try to Start Fresh and reinstall EA App again.

How do I avoid this duplicated launchers?

@RhanCandia not sure yet still working on the bugs, but those are just duplicate shortcuts...you dont have two launchers, i would just get rid of any old shortcuts

I understand. I know the plugin is still in it’s early days. Just wanted to document the issue here in GitHub so we can go back easily.

I installed a game via EA App and it created two game shortcuts. I’m guessing it’s still related to the shortcut issue I reported with the launchers.

I just removed the extra game shortcut and launched the game.

Other than that, it works so well. Really appreciate your contribution to the community.

Hi. First of all I'm very happy with this plugin, it works very well, but I also suffered this bug.

In my case, after I removed the duplicate shortcuts for two of the launchers and I installed a new game, I ended up having 3 shortcuts of both launchers and 9 for the game.

Edit: I just remembered that my launchers shortcuts are already created in another tab, so maybe that's part of the problem.

I don't think this gives you any clue for fixing the problem, but just in case. Keep the good work.

@ialiendeg a new version of the plug-in is now in the testing store, there may be some duplicates but I've been testing at it seems to not be as bad, I added new information in the shortcuts, I would delete all the old NSL shortcuts if possible and let the plug-in create the new ones if that makes sense
