A fix is underway upstream on https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-83746. As soon as this is merged to Moodle core, the fix has to be adopted to Boost Union. |

This was dicovered during the integration of #648 and was assessed as Moodle core bug.
For the steps to reproduce, see the upstream bug on https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-83746. Just add a smart menu item instead of a custom menu item.
As this is an upstream bug, we will wait some time if it gets resolved upstream in Moodle core.
