Latex error generating report

Pdflatex gives the following error when generating a report:

I think the syntax error is caused earlier in the tex file than what latex reports here. #671 will keep the tex file in debug mode which should be very useful to debug this.

Actually the issue is exactly where latex shows, namely underscores in words. This page lists some solutions, such as escaping underscores or using the underscore package (\usepackage{underscore}).
