hey, this wont let me use the latest version, when i select an older version it works. my mac is a Macbook Air running macOs catalina. can anybody help me fix this problem? i'm desprate.

If it crashes it freezes sometimes.
Please check if the latest update of the Launcher work for you.
Please tell me if it still won't respond every time starting the game, if you don't update 1.14 - 1.16.10 are the only compatible versions

There is currently no new stable update, 1.16.10 is the last working version.
