I see with https://www.sex.com (the old site, not the new) we can download only one picture by picture (one by one) adding the correspondent picture link to gallery-dl url
If I put a url that groups images for example https://www.sex.com/pics/?sort=popular&sub=all&page=1
I get [gallery-dl][error] No suitable extractor found for 'https://www.sex.com/pics/?sort=popular&sub=all&page=1'

Is this normal ?

It currently only works with an explicit tag
https://www.sex.com/pics/hentai?sort=popular&sub=all&page=1
or with a search
https://www.sex.com/search/pics?query=ecchi&sort=popular-all

Boards are also supported.
