It can be an issue on Windows only, this is one of the side effects of how conpty was designed. I had an idea which will maybe help fix it in #152634

It's interesting that I only noticed it last Friday. Is it a coincidence?

@joaomoreno I think it's more likely to happen here because of the reconnect, pretty sure it's the same underlying cause though.
