Just to double check, |
I had this same issue. My default profile pointed to an installation of Powershell (6) that didn't exist. Installing PS6 allowed Terminal to open successfully. |
It is not installed on this machine, but it is installed on my other laptop. Installing it solved the problem. I am curious why it thinks I have PowerShell 7 installed? I do have it on my other test laptop. Are these profiles synchronized? |
Environment
Steps to reproduce
I have build Terminal from source and am using it successfully, but I would like to try the version from the Windows Store. I have downloaded it, but when I try to launch it, it immediately terminates without any other error.

I get a quick flash of a terminal window - it is not blank (as reported elsewhere). It is a quick flash and then immediately it terminates. Nothing on the taskbar, nothing in the process list, no error messages, etc.
Additional Information
There are no updates pending on the Windows Store, and the Dev Build version runs fine.
