With the release of the Snapdragon X Elite laptops and efforts to port Linux to the m series CPUs, we're seeing an increase in demand from our users to support ARM based devices. Qualcomm is already working on Linux support.

It would be great if Microsoft would release arm64/aarch64 version of all packages published on https://packages.microsoft.com/ we see that some packages already have there variants available.

At the very least we would require the following packages (+dependencies) available for ARM:

  • mdatp
  • intune-portal
  • microsoft-edge-stable

Could you please consider this request or pass this along to the relevant product groups?

Is there any news on this?

I was trying to build a Linux based ARM64 system where mdatp was one of the requirements and I noticed that there are no packages available for this.

While we aren't responsible for publishing packages to packages.microsoft.com, I will look at how we can pass this message along to product teams at Microsoft.

In the meantime, I would suggest contacting the teams yourself to also request that they publish ARM packages. For mdtap, here's a link to their issue tracker:

Thank you for the reply, I will open a ticket there and ask them what's up since ARM64 is becoming more and more popular.
