Terraform Support #587
Comments
hi People, do you have any idea when this new feature will be available? |
why the Terraform support take so long ? |
Hi @diegolagospagopa I just updated the description with an ETA (end of March). Thank you and @baoj-dfo for your patience. We're working on a lot of new features for the end of this quarter that we believe a lot of customers will appreciate! 😊 |
Is there more information on what exactly "Terraform Support" means here? |
It means to add Container Apps to the Terraform providers for Azure. Please see this pull request for the latest progress: hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm#18008 |
Let's wait till April so we make it one year since the GA, you know, OCD... On a more serious note I would love to know why it took so long to add such an important feature, even though the demand for it was crystal clear |
It is "half-working" with the azapi provider. "Good-enough" to get the early adopters on it and make them pull out their hair constantly. |
looking at azapi provider, MS intent to move people towards Bicep |
terrafrom now supports azure container apps in azurerm version 3.43.0. see hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm#18008 (comment) |
There's still al lot of missing key functionality, e.g. hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm#21274 |
Please add jobs and event triggers. It even works in az cli. And examples tabs in the documentation. Thanks. |
Additionally workload profiles is not supported yet on the TF provider: hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm#21747 |
@vermegi a lot of things are not supported in the azurerm provider, not sure why but no one cares updating it. It's quite disappointing honestly |
It's even more disappointing that the PRs that are clean won't get merged. |
FYI I suppose this is a good place to track changes made. |
I can only assume to try and funnel people onto using ARM/BICEP. |
