Environment

Windows build number: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.804]
Your Distribution version: Ubuntu 20.04.1
Whether the issue is on WSL 2 and/or WSL 1: WSL 2

Steps to reproduce

Install WSL on a slower HDD (Mine's a WD Blue 1TB).
Watch as wake from hibernate performance and entire machine performance tanks.

WSL logs:

Expected behavior

The machine to keep running normally, as it did before.

Actual behavior

Performance when waking from hibernate and general performance tanks.

Update: #4936 appears to also be related. The comments suggest enabling the VM platform. I will try this.

Update: Enabling the VM platform has made my system generally faster somehow, and has fixed all of the issues I've been having!
