Several days later trying once again, it suddenly worked. I had rebooted, restarted services etc before. Therefore, I don't know what made it work again. But that's the current status. |

I have been running postgres 14, using port 5432, under WSL2 for a year, and using it through python on Win10. After installing postgres on Windows and setting up a new database using the same port (stupid, I know), i can no longer access the WSL database from Windows.
I've tried stopping the Postgres Service in Win10 and rebooting, but still can't access the WSL database. From inside WSL, i can access the database just fine. So it seems to me like the Win10 installation has somehow overtaken the port 5432?
I'm considering uninstalling Postgres in Win10, but I doubt it will fix it since stopping the service didn't.
Any inputs on how to solve this? That would be a huge help in getting back to using my data.
Versions:
Ubuntu 22.04.1
WSL2
PS:
I read this thread #8353
Interestingly there the complaint is that no warning is given, but both db's can still be accessed.
